Saturday July 7th is the date for the 3rd annual Oil Field Golf Scramble at the Lawrence County Country Club. Those who participate will support both the Lawrenceville Indian and Red Hill Saluki football programs. In addition to the golf, participants will also have the chance to win valuable prizes that will be raffled off including Cubs-Cardinals tickets, Indianapolis Colts tickets, Holiday World tickets and other gift certificates to various local businesses. About $10,000 has been raised in the first two years of the event. There will be morning and afternoon flights of competition with a lunch provided. Those who wish to enter their six person teams can contact Saluki head football coach Billy Gray or Justin Scherer.
