CUBS RALLY TO BEAT TWINS AT WRIGLEY

Addison Russell belted his second career grand slam home run and Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist each added two run blasts as the Chicago Cubs rallied from an early deficit and beat the Minnesota Twins 10-6 in interleague action Friday at Wrigley Field. Kyle Schwarber also added his 16th homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to aid the cause. The Cubs trailed 5-2 entering the bottom of the fifth inning after Joe Maurer of the Twins hit two homers and drove in five early runs. The victory was the second in a row for the Cubs. The series continues Saturday afternoon with Aldaberto Mejia (0-0) scheduled to pitch for Minnesota and Tyler Chatwood (3-5) for the Cubs. The game can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame at 12:45 p.m. Central Time 1:45 Eastern.
