BIG SEVENTH INNING GIVES CUBS WIN OVER DODGERS

Anthony Rizzo’s three run double and Addison Russell’s two run homer highlighted a big seven run top of the seventh inning Thursday afternoon as the Chicago Cubs broke loose late and beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-5 in the final game of their four game series at Dodger Stadium. The Cubs scored their 11 runs on 15 hits with Rizzo getting four of those. Russell drove in four of the runs. They split the series at two games apiece. The Cubs are back home at Wrigley Field Friday to open a three game interleague series with the Minnesota Twins. Jose Berrios (8-5) will go in game one for the Twins against Mike Montgomery (2-2) for the Cubs. It will be a late afternoon start at Wrigley.
