Charles Thomas ‘Tom’ Perrott, Sr., 81, of Olney, Illinois passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1936 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Lotus S. and Alta (Neikirk) Perrott. He married Norma L. Conrady on December 3, 1954 and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2005. He married Sally Williams Slover on May 12, 2016 and she survives.

C.T. worked for White Brothers Construction for 20 years. He was then a self-employed carpenter for 35 plus years. He was a member of the Sumner United Methodist Church and attended the Forrest Ridge Christian Church. He served as a member of the Lawrence County Board, the Unit 10 School Board, and the Sumner City Council. C.T. was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and went to Florida for Spring Training for 28 years. He coached Sumner Little League Baseball and the traveling league for over 20 years. His hobbies included camping, riding in his convertible car, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Norma; one brother, Robert V. Perrott; and two sisters, Lillie Mae Perrott and Rosella Jean Waldrop.

Survivors include his wife, Sally; four sons, Charles T. Perrott, Jr. of Sumner, Illinois, William R. (Bobbi) Perrott of Sumner, Illinois, John M. ‘Jig’ (Donna) Perrott of Bridgeport, Illinois, and Jeffrey Todd (Tina) Perrott of rural Bridgeport, Illinois; one brother, Bill (Carolyn) Perrott of rural Sumner, Illinois; one sister, Betty Mitchell of Independence, Missouri; five step-children, Cindy (Ray) Livesay, Dave (Donna) Goff, Penny Evans, Gennie (Mark) Bare, and Ken (Amanda) Evans; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; and 17 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in C.T. memory may be made to the Carle Richland Hospice.
