Jack Flaherty and four relievers combined on a four hit shutout and Matt Carpenter homered to lead the St Louis Cardinals to a 5-0 win Sunday night over the Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium. John Brebbia picked up the win in relief after Flaherty was lifted after throwing 97 pitches and failing to get through the fifth inning. The win snapped a four game Cardinal losing skid and denied the Cubs their first series sweep in St Louis since 2010. Jose Quintana was charged with two runs and four hits in five-plus innings to take the loss. The Cubs are back at Wrigley Field Monday night to open up a three game set against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It will be Tyler Chatwood (3-5) for the Cubs against Kenta Maeda (4-4) for the Dodgers. You can hear the game on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame at 6:30p.m. Central Time 7:30 Eastern
