The quest by the North Central (Farmersburg) Lady Thunderbirds for the IHSAA 1A state softball title came up short. They lost in the championship game of the tournament to Pioneer Saturday 10-1 at Bittinger Stadium at West Lafayette Indiana. 10 runs on 15 hits with 1 error for Pioneer and 1 run on 3 hits and 1 error for North Central. The Lady T-birds finish the season at 23-7 while Pioneer finishes at 32-3.
