A Dugger man was pronounced dead after being pulled out of a private pond Thursday night. 69 year-old Michael Reynolds was recovered from the small pond east of Dugger just after 5:30 p.m. Department of Natural Resources officials said Reynolds went to the dock at the private pond to feed the fish. Family members began a search when he did not return. He was observed floating in the water and CPR was initiated before first responders arrived. It is not known if drowning was the official cause of death at this point. Officials said Reynolds had an extensive medical history. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. Indiana Conservation Officers are continuing to investigate.
