The Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians finished up the regular season Saturday with a third place finish in the four team Olney Lady Tiger Classic. The Lady Indians were shut out on 3 hits in their opening game against Oblong 7-0. Abby Gartner took the loss on the mound. They rebounded later to win the third place game 8-7 over Farina South Central. The Lady Indians scored 8 times on 12 hits in the win. Emily Moore had 3 of those hits with Katelyn Higginbotham, Jayley Akers, and Elizabeth Steffey each collecting 2 hits. The Lady Indians will host their own Class 2A regional this week at Phil Alsman Field. Play begins Tuesday with the semi-finals-Flora vs Carlyle at 4:30p.m. and the Lady Indians vs Robinson at 6:30p.m.
