Casey scored a run in the top of the 8th inning and nipped the Lawrenceville Baseball Indians 4-3 in action Friday at Unit 20 Ballpark. The Indians led 2-1 until the top of the 7th when the Warriors scored twice to take a 3-2 lead heading to the bottom of the 7th. The Tribe managed to tie the game with a tally in the bottom of the 7th to send the contest to the extra inning. After Casey scored in the 8th, the Indians did have the tying run on base but could not bring it home. Casey scored their 4 runs on 6 hits and committed 3 errors while the Indians scored 3 times on 5 hits and also made 3 errors. Noah Weger had 2 hits for the Indians while Cale Powell and Eli Ivers had hits and drove in runs. Keegan Meek was the losing pitcher going 7 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs, 1 walk, and striking out 9. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Indians and drops them to 2-6 on the season. They are on the road Saturday for a doubleheader at Salem.
