Gregory Allen Smith, age 54 of rural St. Francisville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born October 23, 1963 in Salem, IL.
On November 21, 1987 in Vincennes, IN, Greg married Ruth Ellen Miller. She survives.
Greg had worked in Vincennes for Riley Equipment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, his dogs, and almost anything outdoors.
Surviving relatives include: his wife- Ruth Smith of rural St. Francisville: his mother- Diane Earnst of Bridgeport: one brother- Mike Smith and his wife Tina of Bridgeport: one uncle- Darrell Birkes and his wife Marilyn of Bridgeport: three step-sisters- Pamela Hill and her husband Jim of Bridgeport, Lynn Brower and her husband Raymond, and Sandy Ellis and her husband Jim of Palestine: his mother-in-law- Mary Frances Miller of Bedford, IN: three sisters-in-law- Suzann Richards of Vincennes, IN, Penny Carroll and her husband Joe of Bedford, IN, and Jacqueline Miller of Vincennes, IN: two brothers-in-law- Lee Miller and his wife Sue of Bicknell, IN and Dennis Miller of Bicknell, IN: his three beloved dogs- Stevie, Sassie, and Ellie: and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Earnst, and his father-in-law, Jackie Lee Miller.
A visitation for Gregory Allen Smith will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Cremation will follow.
