The Vincennes City Council met in regular session Monday night. The City Council received a positive report from officials with Reedy Financial out of Seymour about the City’s tax increment financing zones. The City’s TIF zones reportedly generated $57 million in revenue. From that revenue, the Vincennes Redevelopment Commission received over one and a half million dollars toward various projects for the TIF Zone area. The Council also approved a $20,000 payment as part of a $100,000 incentive package to bring Pioneer Oil to Knox County. The payout is part of a five-payment incentive for the company to move to Fourth and Main in Downtown Vincennes.
