The Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians finished 2nd in their Invitational tournament Saturday at Phil Alsman Field. They won the opening game 19-0 in three innings over Hutsonville-Palestine. The Lady Indians scored their 19 runs on 16 hits with Abby Gartner collecting 3 of those and picking up the pitching win. Jayley Akers also homered in the win. In the championship game, the Lady Indians lost to Flora 8-4. They scored their 4 runs on 9 hits. Akers homered again in the contest and Gartner took the loss. The Lady Indians are now 2-3 and will be at home against Marshall Monday at 4:30 p.m. in conference play.
