The Sumner City Council met in special session Wednesday night. The City Council discussed a budget for the fiscal year which begins May 1st. Different topics discussed included hours for city employees, motor fuel tax money and the water department. Sumner Mayor Betty Brian said the purpose of Wednesday’s session was to make sure all council members had input and were up to speed on the fiscal spending plan. The council will vote on the proposed budget at next Tuesday’s regular session meeting.
