The Vincennes Board of Works and Safety met in regular session Monday evening. The Board of Works awarded a bid for restoration work on the wall facing Gimbel Corner in the 200 block of Main Street. Schlomer Restoration came in with the winning bid of $47, 500. The restoration work will include tuck-pointing the wall, filling holes and removing plaster and adhesive material. Restoration work on the Gimbel Corner wall is expected to begin soon.
