Marjorie Marie Ivers, age 93 of St. Francisville, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the United Methodist Village- North Campus in Lawrenceville. She was born February 25, 1925 in Decker, IN to Lemuel Ingle and his wife Gladys (Briner) Ingle.

On April 17, 1946, Marjorie married Maurice Franklin Ivers. Maurice preceded her in death on April 7, 1994.

Marjorie was a grew up in the Vincennes, IN area and graduated from Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker to her family along with helping run the family farm. She and Maurice raised cattle and crops from 1946 until 1966. After that, they went to raising crops alone. Marjorie was a long-time member of the St. Francisville Christian Church. She also enjoyed volunteering at local hospitals. She started volunteering with the Gray Ladies at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, and she then went to Good Samaritan Hospital volunteering with the Pink Ladies.

Surviving family includes: one daughter- Tina Cotterell and her husband Neil of rural Sumner: two sons- George Ivers and his fiancé Sylvia Pulleyblank of rural St. Francisville and Dennis Ivers and his wife Julie of rural St. Francisville: six grandchildren- Kelly Potts, David Ivers, Garrett Ivers, Reese Ivers, Collin Cotterell, and Corry Cotterell: eleven great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by: her husband- Maurice F. Ivers: her parents- Lemuel and Gladys Ingle: one brother- John Robert Ingle: one sister- Viola Horst: and one daughter-in-law- Joyce (Pulleyblank) Ivers.

A funeral service for Marjorie Marie Ivers will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the St. Francisville Christian Church. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the church. Burial will take place next to her husband in Oaklawn Cemetery.
