Three Sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court

   Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that three people were sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week.  24 year-old Anthony Skipworth of Monroe City, Indiana was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.  That will  be followed by two years of mandatory supervised release.  Skipworth is also required to pay a drug assessment fee as well as court costs.

   34 year-old Christopher Shaffer of Robinson was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. That will be followed by mandatory supervised release. Shaffer is also required to pay a drug assessment fee as well as court costs.

   34 year-old Nicholas Winship of Lawrenceville was sentenced to one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of domestic battery. That will be followed by four years of mandatory supervised release. Winship is also required to pay court costs.
