The Lawrenceville wrestling Indians finished 8th in the 12 team Eastern Illinois Classic tournament held at Lawrenceville High School Saturday. Oakwood captured the championship with 171 points followed by Danville with 158.50, Olney with 153, Westville with 145, Bismark-Henning with 131, Robinson with 126.50, Champaign-Central with 105.50, and the Indians with 101. Gavin Smith of the Tribe won the 182 pound class by pin, Zeth Stallings was second at 126, Nolan Tewell was second at 285, Clayton Smith was fourth at 152, and Brian Lychowski was fourth at 195. Next up for the grapplers is the regional this Saturday.
