The Casey-Westfield Warriors captured the 2018 Little Illini Boys basketball tournament Friday at Red Hill Junior-Senior High School in Bridgeport. They had 4 players score in double figures led by Ethan Gilbert with 18 points and were dominant in a 67-44 win over Robinson in the title game. The Marshall Lions won the third place game as they knocked off Flora 66-59 behind Wade Tharp with 20 points. The Olney Tigers held off a late challenge by the Newton Eagles to win the consolation championship 60-52. Brent Hatton paced Olney with 22 points. Congratulations to Emily Moore of Lawrenceville High School named as the recipient of a Little Illini Conference scholarship at the half of the title game.
