Illinois State Police District 12 Commander Cory Ristvedt has announced activity and enforcement figures for the month of December. Troopers in District 12, which includes Crawford, Lawrence and Richland Counties, answered 207 calls for service and initiated 1,424 incidents in the field. In addition, enforcement figures totaled 601 citations and 705 written warnings, including 250 speeding citations, 4 DUIs, 165 seat belt citations, 2 child restraint citations, 225 written warnings for speeding, and 35 criminal arrests. Troopers also assisted 276 motorists, conducted 230 Motor Carrier Inspections, and investigated 67 traffic crashes. There were 3 fatal traffic crashes investigated by District 12 in December.
