Wayne County authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains found on a farm south of Boyleston, Illinois. A local landowner alerted authorities Tuesday afternoon after coming across the remains. Wayne County Coroner Jimmy Taylor confirmed the discovery of human remains. State and federal authorities are working to process evidence from the scene, which is a very remote area several miles south of Boyleston. No positive identification of the individual has been made at this time pending further forensic investigation. Taylor said it could take days, if not weeks, to make a positive identification.
