Larry L. Carrie

Larry L. Carrie, 73, of Vincennes, passed away at 7:00 am Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Hillside Manor in Washington.

He was born February 10, 1943 in Vincennes, Indiana to James and Jewell (Tewalt) Carrie.

Larry was a truck driver for many years. He drove for Carrie Brothers trucking, Donnie Osborne farms, and the Lawrenceville Refinery. Larry served in the Navy aboard the USS Long Beach which toured the world as the first nuclear ship.  A member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Larry enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Janet (Doades) Carrie, whom he married on May 13th, 1966; his children, Sandra Kay (Amy Greemore) Carrie of Vincennes, and James (Nicole) Carrie of Vincennes; his sisters, Beverly Preusz of Bridgeport, IL, and Dottie Preusz of Vincennes; and a grandson, Owen James Carrie.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Marilyn Bilskie; and an infant brother.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday, December 18, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Per Larry’s request he will be cremated afterwards and will have a private family burial.
