Virginia Rose Hardiman, 86, of Robinson, Illinois passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born September 11, 1931 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph Willard and Fannie N. (Casey) Anderson. She married Clarence L. ‘Butch’ Hardiman on September 13, 1952.

Gin Rose was a 1949 Lawrenceville High School graduate. She retired from Lawrence County Memorial Hospital after working for 27 years as a CNA and Ward Clerk. She enjoyed gardening. She devoted her life to her three sons and their families.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Butch Hardiman; three infant daughters, Julie and twins, Betty, and Patty; one sister, Anna Joiner; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Anderson and Lois Jean Anderson; and one brother-in-law, Newt Joiner.

Survivors include three sons, Darvin Hardiman and wife, Teri, of Vincennes, Indiana, Bruce Hardiman and wife, Jean, of Robinson, Illinois, and Michael Hardiman and wife, Mary Rose, of Robinson, Illinois; three brothers, Victor Anderson, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois, Harry Anderson of rural Flat Rock, Illinois, and Carl Dean Anderson and wife, Ginger, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; one sister, Irene Morris and husband, Donnie, of Princeton, Indiana; grandchildren, Natasha DeHosse and husband, Terry, Stesha Fossmeyer, and husband, Jason, Christina Perry and husband, Jeff, Bruce Hardiman, Jr. and wife, Ashley, James Hartrich, and Heidi, Dustin Hardiman, and wife, Jenny, Brandon Hardiman and wife, Molly, Kyle Hardiman and wife, Jenna, Clarence Hardiman, Parker Hardiman, Mikayla Hardiman; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 17, 2017 at 12:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Portee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Virginia’s memory may be made to the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
