Lawrence “Larry” Land, 78, of Vincennes, passed away November 12, 2017, at Willow Manor.
Larry had worked at Clark’s and then worked at JC Penney for 29 years. Following his retirement from JC Penney, he worked at Harold’s Super Market. Larry was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the NRA, and the Fraternal Order of Police. From 1962- 1964, he served in the US Army.
Born January 7, 1939, in Vincennes, he was the son of Golden and Bessie (Swinson) Land – Wells. His parents; his wife, Marian, whom he married December 24, 1961 and who died February 7, 1998; three sisters; and three brothers preceded him.
Surviving is his niece, Donna Neighbors of Vincennes; his brother-in-law, Willard King; and his caregivers, Blake Parker and Shannon Lifford.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 10:00 – 11:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
