Sally Hardin, 92, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 13, 1925 in Lawrence County, IL the daughter of Rolla Neal and Tillie (Weaver) Fye. She married Willard W. Hardin on May 1, 1946 and he preceded her death on October 25, 1989.
Sally was the Bridgeport Township High School nurse. She was also Director of Nursing at the United Methodist Village. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing Bridge, and was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed her cats.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Willard, brothers: Paul Fye, Gerald Fye Carl Fye, and sisters: Austia DeLap and Lois Witters.
Survivors include three daughters, Penny Cooper of Bridgeport, Illinois, Cathy Tomey and husband, Joe, of Huntingburg, IN, and Trudy Hardin of Hermitage, TN, three grandchildren: Jaclyn Galey, Angie Cooper, Heather Cooper, and two great-grandchildren: Shelby and Jackson Galey.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 10:00am Saturday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 5 until 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
