Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael M. Strange announced that 25 year-old Kaitlyn Pemberton of Palestine pled guilty to a charge of unlawful defrauding a drug screening.
Pemberton was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Pemberton is also required to pay court costs. Pemberton was on probation for a previous charge of unlawful purchase of methamphetamine precursor. She was unsuccessfully discharged from probation for that charge as part of the plea.
