Vincennes and Republic Services will once again offer Vincennes residents a chance to get rid of large, unwanted items at no charge.
Mayor Joe Yochum announced two special “City Wide Large Item Disposal Days”. They are October 28th and November 4th. From 8 to 11:30 those days Republic Services will be accepting items too big for trash bags and their 2nd Street location. There’ll be no charge to dispose of furniture, mattresses, large toys and appliances not containing CFSs or HCSFs. Carpet tied in three foot bundles will also be accepted.
Materials not accepted include construction debris, building materials, tires, paint, liquid and hazardous waste or electronics.
