Another year of Chestnut Fun today through Saturday…

 The 42nd annual St. Francisville Chestnut Festival kicks off this evening at 6 pm with a community-wide wiener roast and hayride hosted by the First United Methodist Church at 501 Main Street. Friday’s activities include the Women’s Club chili supper at the Christian Church at 5 pm, a performance by the Lawrenceville High School cheer team at 5:30 pm, the Little Miss and Mr. Chestnut contest at the main stage and a movie to be shown on a large screen. Saturday’s activities include the St. Francisville Senior Citizens Center’s sausage gravy breakfast; city-wide yard sales; a baby contest at 10 am on the main stage; performances by the cheer, dance and tumbling groups at 10:30 am; craft beer testing from noon until 6 pm; a parade at 2 pm; a raffle drawing at 3 pm;  live music by “Wood and Wire” from 3:30 until 6 pm and the St. Francisville All-School Class Reunion at 6 pm in the school gym.
