Hazel Christena Kiser, age 91 of rural Sumner, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at U. F. Health Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. She was born August 16, 1926, the daughter of Marion and Florence (Blair) Biggs.
She married Nelson Kiser in 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Hazel was a homemaker and made every visitor feel welcome in her home. She was a wonderful cook. If you came to her house, she was going to feed you.
Hazel is survived by: one daughter- Delores “Dee” Nicewander and her husband Bruce of Jacksonville, FL: four sons- Ronald Kiser and his wife Tammy of rural Bridgeport, Randy Kiser and his wife Judy of rural Bridgeport, Donald Kiser and his wife Connie of rural Bridgeport, and Joey Kiser and his wife Annie of rural Sumner: nine grandchildren: twelve great-grandchildren: several nieces and nephews: and many friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by: her husband- Nelson Kiser: parents- Marion and Florence Biggs: one sister- Fern West: one brother- Herschel Biggs: one grandson- Eric Kiser: one granddaughter- Jessica Kiser: one nephew- Jerry Biggs: and one niece- Linda Julian.
A graveside service will be held for Hazel C. Kiser at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Bridgeport City Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 1:00 p.m. until the time of graveside services at 2:00 p.m.
