Man jailed for armed robberies in Vincennes

        A Linton man has been charged in connection with robberies in Vincennes.  Police report they took 26-year-old Benjamin Held into custody last night without incident at a Durbin Street residence in Bicknell.  They say he was the one responsible for recent robberies at the Fast Trax Convenience Store and Discount Tobacco Store both in Vincennes.
He faces counts of Armed Robbery, Possession of of a Handgun without a License, Possession of Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Possession of Meth, Fentanyl, Marijuana and Paraphernalia.

        VPD thanked several agencies which assisted in the investigation including; the Knox and Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the Bicknell Police Department and Indiana State Police from the Evansville and Putnamville Posts.
