A Lawrenceville woman was involved in a single-vehicle accident in Lawrence County yesterday evening. Mary Gentry was driving east on U.S. Business 50 near County Road 1400 East when she attempted to turn onto County Road 1400 East. Gentry had to swerve to the right to avoid an oncoming vehicle and went off the road in the process. Gentry’s vehicle then struck the County Road 1400 East sign before coming to a stop. Gentry was not injured.
A two-vehicle accident occurred in Lawrenceville yesterday morning. Vehicles driven by Patty Young and Gloria Ramirez collided in the 2300 block of State Street near Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. Neither driver was injured.
