Frances Ellen Arnold, age 91 of Parkersburg, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Olney at Richland Memorial Hospital. She was born April 24, 1926 in Bridgeport to Frederick Clinton Earnst and his wife Lora Ellen (Harmon) Earnst.
Frances married Charles Arnold in Kentucky on May 31, 1985, and he preceded her in death.
She was a cook for years. Frances cooked at The Cafe in Samsville for many years before running Tiger’s Cafe in Parkersburg.
Surviving family includes several nieces and nephews who love her and will miss her: Billy Earnst, Tom Earnst and wife Lois, Terry Earnst and wife Janet, Donna Hall and husband Paul, Janet Goodwin and husband Roger, Linda Glosser and husband Jack, Lora Townsend and husband Mark, Lora Ann Vaughn and husband Wayne, and Luann Judy and husband William.
She was preceded in death by: her parents- Frederick C. and Lora Ellen Earnst: her husband- Charles Arnold: two brothers- John Earnst and Fred “Dude” Earnst, Jr.: six sisters- Cleo Cross, Dorothy Beal, Louetta Salyers, Bertha Price, Norma Thomas, and Pauline Scranton.
A funeral service for Frances Ellen Arnold will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Bridgeport City Cemetery.
