Guilty pleas heard in battery, possession and burglary cases

(DLC Media)— Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that 36 year-old Jordan Jones of Lawrenceville plead guilty to a charge of aggravated battery. In exchange for his plea, Jones was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Jones will also be required to pay court costs.

   -In other court news… 27 year-old Adrienne Stevens of Lawrenceville plead guilty to a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. In exchange for her plea, Stevens was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Stevens will also be required to pay a $500 drug assessment as well as court costs.

  –26 year-old Devin Foreman of Bridgeport plead guilty to a charge of burglary. In exchange for his plea, Foreman had been previously placed on 24 months of probation but admitted to violating the terms of his probation. Foreman was then sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by two years of mandatory supervised release. Foreman will also be required to pay all previously imposed fines and costs.
