Illinois State Police District 12 Commander Cory Ristvedt has announced activity and enforcement figures for the month of May. Troopers in District 12, which includes Crawford, Jasper, Lawrence, and Richland Counties, answered 237 calls for service and initiated 1,898 incidents in the field. In addition, enforcement figures totaled 1,082 citations and 898 written warnings, including 611 speeding citations, 7 DUIs, 135 seat belt citations, 12 child restraint citations, 258 written warnings for speeding, and 32 criminal arrests. There were 3 fatal traffic crash investigated by District 12 in May.
