Nedrya K. Williams, 77, of 12414 Lake Lawrence Blvd., Lawrenceville, IL passed away at 8:02 pm Thursday June 8, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born January 5, 1940 in Louisville, Illinois to James and Inez (Atchison) Cogswell.
Nedrya started her working years at a telegraph company in Olney, and then working for Troy’s, Alicetown, owned William’s Café, then ended up retiring from Essex Wire. She served as the Allison Township Supervisor and was known as a friend to all.
Surviving are her children, Phillip Vincent (Janet) Conover of Vincennes, Kevin Shawn Conover of Vincennes, Lisa Renee Williams of Vincennes, Charles Leroy (Cheryl) Williams of Vincennes, and Darren Allen Williams of Lawrenceville; six grandchildren, Phillip Conover II, Heidi Hinkle, Steven Williams, Leah Lineberrry, Skylar Williams, and Nickolas Williams; along with nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Williams whom preceded her on March 31, 2016; and her brothers, Paul, John, Delbert, and Junior; and her sisters, Jean and Della.
A Celebration of Nedrya’s Life will be held at Noon on Tuesday June 20, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Debbie Salters officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 am until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nursing Education Fund through the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation.
