Kimberly Brooke (Rucker) Maxfield, age 36 of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, April 24, 2017.

She was born September 29, 1980 in Lawrenceville to Mike and Beth (Musgrove) Rucker.

On June 24, 2000, Kim married her love, Scott Maxfield, at the Sumner First United Methodist Church.

Kim graduated from Red Hill High School in 1998, and she then attended and graduated from Wabash Valley College. She has been a valued and loved member of the Customer Service team at Rucker’s for many years. She is a member of Beulah United Methodist Church.

Kimberly was loved by so many! Those who knew her will never forget her infectious smile and the way she made everyone’s day a little brighter. Kimberly loved her three children with all her heart. Nothing brought her more joy than supporting them in all their sports. From watching Delaney the past 7 years cheerleading to Drew with football and basketball, she was everywhere cheering, coaching, volunteering, you name it! Scott was the love of her life for almost 17 years and they were so very happy! Kim’s passion was singing and boy could she! She sang in the praise band at her church, with her mom and dad and especially in the car! Her fellow employees loved the way she sang and danced around them with a smile on her face delivering their work to them! Kim loved many genres of music but gospel was her favorite! Her beautiful voice will be missed here but heaven has gained an amazing voice for that glorious choir!

Kim will be forever loved and missed by her husband, Scott Maxfield of Bridgeport; her parents, Mike and Beth Rucker of Trenton; her children, Delaney Michelle Maxfield, Andrew Allen Maxfield, and William Mason Maxfield; one sister, Michelle Rucker of Lawrenceville; in-laws, Dale and Paula Maxfield of Cayuga, IN and Stanley and Marie Golcynski of Ridge Farm; Scott’s paternal grandmother, Betty Maxfield; nieces and nephews; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and numerous loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Dorothy Musgrove; paternal grandparents, Bob and Betty Rucker; and Scott’s grandparents, Ralph and Bessie Trosper and William Maxfield.
