The Vincennes City Council approved funds last night that will benefit two agencies in the area. The council approved a little over $4500 to go towards the city police department to purchase and improve police armor. The council stated this decision was a no brainer, and they want their police officers safe on the streets.
The council also approved just over $1100 to purchase two new snow plows for the street department. The plows should be here in time for winter.
Both of these decisions were uncontested in a public hearing before the city council meeting and were unanimously voted upon by the council members.
