KCDC Executive Director Kent Utt says the 40-thousand square foot building was constructed earlier this year in hopes of attracting interest from businesses looking to expand.

UTT says about two-thirds of the requests they receive from the state are businesses seeking an existing building to move into.

If KCDC members decide to Green Light such a project. Utt said they would most likely pay for it through the sale of revenue bonds.

Utt says members of the Site Development team plan to tour the spec building in Washington next Thursday at 11 am.
