Samuel “Sam” M. Westfall, Jr.

Samuel “Sam” M. Westfall, Jr., 84, of Vincennes, passed away Nov. 18, 2016, at Willow Manor.

 

 

Sam was a farmer, and also worked at Prestolite. He had  owned the DX Service Station. During the Korean War, he served in the US Army, and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge. For many years, he enjoyed camping and fishing.

 

Born May 4, 1932, in Vincennes, he was the son of Samuel and Clara (Wampler) Westfall, Sr. His parents; his wife, Patricia (O’Haver) Westfall, whom he married in November of 1954;  and his siblings preceded him.

 

Surviving are his sons, Sam Westfall and his wife, Pam, of Madisonville, KY, and Mike Westfall and his wife, Sami, of Vincennes; grandchildren, Zachary Westfall and his wife, Elizabeth, Virginia Westfall, and Keshia Westfall; and his great-grandchildren, Colton and Avery Westfall.

 

Friends may visit with Sam’s family from 12:00 – 2:00 on Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Cheryl Garbe, will begin at 2:00 at the funeral home, and interment in Memorial Park Cemetery will follow.
