Members of the Vincennes Urban Enterprise Association approved 25-thousand dollars for use by the group INVIN.

U-E-A Director Dan Ravallette says the money will be used for downtown development. The appropriation is part of 100-thousand dollars the U-E-A promised to provide to INVIN over the next three years .

INVIN owns both the Pantheon and New Moon Theatre’s and is in the process of cleaning both of those properties up to attract prospective businesses to downtown Vincennes. The Not-for-Profit group is currently in the process of adding a parking lot at Sixth and Main Streets across from the New Moon to support any businesse that would locate in that building.

The U-E-A Board also agreed to extend 20-thousand dollars to the owners of Marone’s Restaurant. Ravallette says owner John (CHONG) Chuang is planning to convert the former bar and restaurant into an event center to cater weddings and large events.
