Vincennes Fire Chief Sonny Pinkstaff says one recent blaze was arson.
Vincennes City Fire Department investigators are still reviewing two fires reported within the last two weeks. The fires which continue to be under investigation include the blaze at the former 202 Tavern at 20 North 2nd Street, and a fire at a residence in the 1000-block of Broadway.
The North 2nd fire happened on Sunday, November 5th is still listed as undetermined. City Fire Chief Sonny Pinkstaff reminds every one undetermined doesn’t necessarily mean un-solvable.
The Broadway Street fire happened November 10th and has been ruled as being intentionally set. Pinkstaff is leaning toward the fire being set by some passers-by from a nearby alley… Anyone with information on either fire should call the Vincennes City Fire Department at 812-882-2600.
