Anna M. (Claycomb) Etzel, 78, Vincennes, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Anna was born September 15, 1938, in Vincennes, the daughter of Denzil Carl Claycomb and Stella Mae Chatman. She was a 1957 graduate from Lincoln High School. Anna worked for several restaurants as a waitress over the years and retired from GentleCare Nursing Home. She liked playing online games, Bingo, card games, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a former member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxilliary Post 1157.
Anna is survived by her children, Harold Etzel Jr. of Owensville, MO, Dianna Ellerman, Denise Copp, Cindy (David) Heath, and Christy (Jason) Keller of Vincennes; brothers and sisters, Bill Claycomb, Peggy Bennett, Dan Claycomb, Glenna Wilson, Rita Blocher, Pam Brasshear, Vickie Snyder; sister-in-law, Nedinne Eddings, and friend, Joy Etzel; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband and friend, Harold Etzel Sr.; son, Jeffrey Ray; great-granddaughter, Jayda Mae; son-in-law, Kenneth Copp Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dave Fleck officiating at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service also at the funeral home .
