Knox County election officials say they’ve encountered no major problems with voter registration locally.

Indiana State Police are conducting a statewide investigation after some Hoosier voters found their date of birth was incorrect on their registration.

Election Spokesman Dan Wolven says State Police Detectives reviewed the election books back in August and found no major issues.

Wolven added that early voting for this year’s general election has been very heavy so far with a heated presidential  election along with other high profile races for Governor and U.S. Senate at the top of the ballot.

Over 11-hundred residents have voted so far in Knox County with nearly 600 people having voted at the courthouse and 500 more returning their mail-in ballots.

Wolven says early voting will continue through November 7th. The Knox County Election office will also be open Saturday, October 29th and again on November 5th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those

wishing to vote ahead of the November 8th General Election.
