Gas prices are going lower in Indiana, inching down after spiking last week.

Today’s gas average is $2.28 for Indiana. Going into the weekend it was $2.32. Oil analyst Trilby Lundberg said it may go even lower because “winter blend” gas is cheaper to make and demand is lower in the fall and winter. She also said that demand is down in some areas affected by ex-Hurricane Matthew. Gasbuddy.com says gasoline is at 2.07 in Washington, in Vincennes and Petersburg it’s at 2.18 on the low end…In Looogotee it’s under 2.00 and in Jasper…It’s 2.18 in Jasper.  The average is $2.28 in Indianapolis and $2.30 in Ft. Wayne, according to gasbuddy.com. The national average is $2.25.
