AT&T has announced they’ve upgraded a cell tower on its 4G LTE network in Wheatland.

They say the upgrade will give customers faster, more reliable wireless service helping  customers get the most out of their mobile devices.

AT&T also said they’ve enhanced a cell tower in Vincennes with extra 4G LTE capacity. They liken it to  adding more lanes to a highway carrying traffic from a customer’s device to the cell tower, resulting in faster speeds and more reliable service. The cell tower is located near the intersection of Niblack Blvd. and Business U.S. Highway 41.

Bill Soards, president of AT&T Indiana says they are always working to provide better coverage and are investing in their wireless network to accomplish that.

AT&T has invested nearly $2 billion in its wireless and wired networks in Indiana between 2013 through 2015, driving a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.
