Vincennes University will be hosting National Portfolio Day on Saturday October 8th from 11 am to 3 pm.

It’s an opportunity for both college and high school students thinking about pursuing a career in art and design to have their work critiqued by professionals from around the country.

Stephen Black, chairman of the Art & Design program at V-U says a number of nationally renowned art schools will be on hand to provide input and information on scholarship opportunities.

He says students should plan on bringing 10-to-15 pieces of their most recent work.

National Portfolio Day is open to juniors and seniors in High School as well as College Students from around Indiana and neighboring states.

Black says students can register online at VINU-DOT-EDU-BACKSLASH-PORTFOLIO or they can register at the day of the event at the VU Art & Design Center located at College and 3rd Streets.

Black says tours of the Art & Design will follow the event from 3:30-to-5:30 pm,
