Karen Frances (Emmons) Laird, age 63 formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in Evansville, IN at St. Mary’s Hospital due to complications following surgery.
She was born February 8, 1953 in Lawrence County, IL to Russell Franklin “Frank” Emmons and his wife Grace Kathleen “Kate” (Williams) Emmons.
Her surviving family includes: her son- Jay Hattaway and his wife Brittany: five grandchildren: and three siblings-Carolyn, Martina, and Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Mark Anthony Emmons.
There are no formal services being held for Karen Frances Laird as per her wishes.
Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville will be handling the arrangements.
