Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum calls this year’s budget process one of the smoothest in several years.
The City Council reviewed and approved department heads requests without any major revisions.
The city will advertise a budget of just over 12-million, 378-thousand dollars which includes a 3-percent payraise for city employees. Yochum is confident that the budget will be apporved without any major revisions.
The Mayor and City Clerk-Treasurer Sharon Duke will meet with the Department of Local Government and Finance August 26th to review the budget numbers.
