Vincennes University is continuing to accept applications from women interested in the STEM program.  Also, VU joins an aviation consortium.

Stem stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. VU President Chuck Johnson says they still have openings in the program for female students interested in any of the four fields.

Johnson says VU is renovating the top floor of Ebner Hall for use as a dormitory by female students. He says they will have to access to all of the building’s technological facilities anytime they wish to work on class projects.

Vincennes University recently joined a National Aviation Consortium. University President Chuck Johnson says the group is made up of colleges and universities who have ties to employers in the aviation industry. Johnson says the group receives input from industry leaders as to what skills students need to attain prior to entering the job market.

Johnson calls it a great fit for VU and believes the partnership will pay dividends down the road in preparing students for a career in the aviation industry.
