Students in the Vincennes Community School Corporation head back to school today.

Superintendent Greg Parsley says due to ongoing construction at some of the school corporation’s elementary sites, motorist are reminded that some changes are needed to accommodate school buses. He noted some of the changes will be temporary and others will be more permanent. Activity will be heavier around the Washington Christian Center, Free Methodist Church and Community United Methodist Church which are being used to house students from Riley Elementary while that school is undergoing extensive renovations. Franklin Elementary School will see more temporary options for the start of the new school year and this will include buses and parents accessing temporary or unfinished parking lots. Parsley noted some inconveniences are going to occur and that patience is going to be needed until the construction work is completed.
