Diane K. Schaller, 68, passed away at 11:22 am on August 1, 2016 at her residence.
Diane was born July 10, 1948 in Vincennes the daughter of Elmer and Betty (Kitchell) Moore. She married Butch Schaller on October 15, 1966.
Diane had worked for Johnson Controls and in her younger years attended Bethlehem General Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking, going to rummage sales, cleaning, taking care of her yard, decorating her house, and she loved sitting on her porch talking to her neighbors.
Surviving are her husband, Butch Schaller of Vincennes; daughter, Cammy Schaller-Hopper and her husband Aaron of Vincennes; sons, Scott Schaller of Vincennes, B.J. Schaller of Vincennes; sisters, Dana Mikiska and her husband Walt of Ft. Wayne, Debbie Melvin and her husband Dave of Vincennes; half-sister, Ann Robinson and her husband Bill of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Alissa Pifer Schaller, Joshua Schaller, Jacob Schaller, Kelsey Schaller, Tanna Schaller, Jaylin Schaller, Brianna Schaller; and many other children that considered her a mother and grandma. Diane was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Donna Catt.
Funeral services for Diane will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St. with Pastor Pete White officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Diane’s family on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5-8 pm and on Friday from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
